WORK INSIDE THE FICTION
The interface is part of the learning surface. Applications, hubs and operations are presented like real in-world systems, not abstract menu trees.
ONE INCIDENT. TWO SIDES. EVERY ACTION LEAVES A TRACE.
TRACEWAKE is a single-player cyber security simulation built around believable work, incomplete information, operational pressure and consequences. Enter through Aurelius or Ghostline, but remember: the incident does not change — only your perspective does.
WHAT IS TRACEWAKE?
TRACEWAKE is a single-player cyber security simulation where the same hidden incident can be experienced from both sides. Investigate, correlate evidence and contain through Aurelius, or build intelligence and pursue the operation through Ghostline.
The interface is part of the learning surface. Applications, hubs and operations are presented like real in-world systems, not abstract menu trees.
Aurelius approaches the event through defence, investigation and containment. Ghostline approaches it through contracts, access paths, intel and exposure.
Signals compete for your attention. Time moves. People react. Choices can protect security while harming continuity — or preserve business while leaving risk alive.
CURRENT SIGNAL
These are the actual current home and gameplay screens. Aurelius and BLACKWIRE already have distinct identities, and the website uses that live build language as its visual anchor.
AURELIUS // OPERATIONS
The defender-side role hub for operations, intel briefings, mail, directory access and ongoing security work.
GHOSTLINE // BLACKWIRE
Ghostline’s contract, intelligence and consequence network — dense, transactional and very deliberately not just “Aurelius in red.”
AURELIUS // ACTIVE GAMEPLAY
During live operations, players investigate across windows, collect evidence and reconstruct what happened. The timeline screen shows TRACEWAKE teaching through interaction instead of explanation alone.
GHOSTLINE // ACTIVE GAMEPLAY
Ghostline gameplay runs inside its own operational workspace, with reconnaissance, contacts, access, countermeasures, intel and handler guidance shaping the route through the same incident from the other side.
HOW IT PLAYS
TRACEWAKE has named world identities, not anonymous red-vs-blue skins. The public-facing language is Aurelius, Ghostline and BLACKWIRE — because that is what players actually enter.
Investigate live signals, verify evidence, manage operational noise and contain credible threats without losing sight of the organisation.
Build the picture, exploit the gap and complete the contract while tracking exposure, traces, credits and the paths you leave behind.
Earlier hub prototype explorations still inform the tone of the project, but are presented here honestly as concept direction rather than final screens.
ALPHA STATUS
TRACEWAKE is an independent Wolf Interactive project in active alpha development. Aurelius and Ghostline are being developed as distinct operational experiences inside the same campaign world, with each side carrying its own interface, priorities and consequences.
FOLLOW THE DEVELOPMENT
The Wolf Interactive development journal keeps the trail: design changes, prototypes, private-alpha lessons, systems that worked, systems that absolutely did not, and the decisions that pushed TRACEWAKE toward Aurelius, Ghostline, VIGIL and BLACKWIRE.
